Then under the ground . . .

Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico . . . 750 ft down is the first stop!
There are many caverns and so few you get to see . . . took the kings tour and then wandered the main cavern . . .

Deepest section was over 835 ft down . . .
The main cavern is setup so anyone can come down and see it . . . and, yes, I did get my t-shirt!

Heading for some sun . . .

Wild life in Monterey . . . sea lions above, had one under the wharf barking as I took this shot across the bay . . . and pelicans below, this guy was a bit of a ham, took several shots of him, I just decided this was his better side!
Beautiful little bay here at Monterey, CA

Coming down past Trees of Mystery and our pal, Paul Bunyon . . .

Outside of Eureka, the victorian village of Ferndale . . . the cemetery is interesting!

On down the Oregon Coast

Xmax on the Oregon Coast after a bit of a wet drive down from Washington . . . I'm only slightly ahead of the storm coming down from Alaska . . . atleast it isn't 30" of snow down here!

I can hang out on these beaches a lot . . . love to watch the water . . .

More of the trip down from Alaska

Wandering down from Haines on the ferry, fairly overcast and gray days, but the 30" of snow are left behind and all we see is rain.

The most exposed section . . . from Kechican down to Bellingham, WA . . . a full days travel on the AMH . . . only a few hours exposed to the open ocean, then behind Canada's Victoria Island. Pretty easy trip all the way down!

A frozen water fall . . . gorgeous scenery abounds, even this time of year . . .

There is Sitka, these towns aren't easy to access . . . fly in or come by water . . . only options.

A usual sight up here . . .
